In solar street lights, the input operating voltage is 12V DC nominal system voltage, and the light output at the height of 12 feet is min of 09 LUX (unit of luminance). Interconnecting cables The battery box, Led light and solar panel are all fixed on the top of the pole and they are interconnected with cables.

The assembling of the entire solar LED street light system can be connected using all the above components which use sun energy to give the power to the LED lamps fixed on street poles. Solar Powered Led Street Light with Auto Intensity Control Project Kit by
It also poses a serious threat to the villagers from physical hazards such as thieves, snakebites, etc. Installation of street lights may seem a pleasant option. Hence the best option is to install solar powered street lights and moving a step ahead, we designed this 'Solar Powered Smart Street Lighting System with IOT'.
The Application of Solar Powered LED Street Lighting • LED lighting offers high efficiency, long operating life and low voltage operation which ideal for solar • Solar street lights were initially used in remote locations and disaster prone areas • As LED efficacy and light output have improved, they are becoming mainstream
Arduino Based Auto Street Light Intensity Controller. LDR Sensor is affixed to sense the luminosity in the environment. The system uses Arduino, a MOSFET is used for controlling the intensity of LEDs. A cluster of LEDs acts as a streetlight. The system is more dependable than systems with time slots and requires less perpetuation as compared to other available systems.
The first step in designing a solar street light system is to find out the total power and energy consumption of LED light and other parts that will need to be supplied by solar power, such as WiFi, Camera etc. need to be supplied by the solar PV system.

We can develop Solar Street light system with Automatic street light controller. The system can be powered from a battery, which can be charged during day time by harvesting the solar energy through a solar cell. The solar energy harvested from sunlight can be stored, inverted from DC voltage to AC voltage using sun tie converter.
Arduino based Solar Street Light The project is designed for LED based street lights with auto intensity control by an Arduino board using solar power from photovoltaic cells. As awareness for solar energy is increasing, more and more individuals and institutions are opting for solar energy.
When there is low amount of light the light automatically glows and when there is sufficient amount of light it automatically turns off the light. Here based on our room condition the threshold value we took is 100 for the LDR sensor. When we place a hand on LDR(Not allowing any light on LDR) arduino automatically turns on the LED.
Light sensor and street light control using Arduino is designed to measure the intensity of light or amount of light. Street light is controlled automatically with the help of the intensity of light and Arduino. Arduino UNO R3 is used in this project. Light-dependent resistor is used for the detection of light. The relay is used to provide isolation between Arduino and 220 volt AC street light.
The attached photos and an embedded video of the working control system is uploaded. The intensity of light varies when the hand gets closer to the ldr until it reaches max value(255) for the led and decreases upon removal of hand slowly from above of the ldr as shown in video.
Street-lights are a large consumer of energy for cities using up to 30-50% of energy budget. If every city installs the proposed system then a lot of power can be saved .Proposed system is power saving mechanism for LED Street lights by using Arduino Board.

The solar street lights use solar energy, a form of renewable energy. The project design is developed using solar panel and a rechargeable battery. The project is designed for LED based street lights with scheduled ON time control by an Arduino board using solar power from photovoltaic cells and the rechargeable battery.
Here in this project we are going to make a Simple Automatic Street Light Controller Using Relay and LDR. This circuit is simple and can be built with Transistors and LDR, you don't need any op-amp or 555 IC to trigger the AC load.
comparative study of the cost effectiveness of theexist-i•/-ED lighting system is found to be 5.9yrs as given in ing grid connected system using CFL as light"sourte ;"TableL".
The main goal of this project is to control the intensity of a street light and also decrease the usage of electricity in the street lights by using LEDs in the place of HID lamps. This project uses a051 microcontroller which generates PWM signals that reminds a MOSFET to switch ON the LEDs to achieve an ideal operation.
In this course, you will build an IoT based Automated Street Lighting System that automatically switches the street light ON and OFF based on the amount of sunlight present. This is one of the key components of smart cities where energy will be used very efficiently by turning the streetlights ON and OFF at the right time as needed.
